Air ambulance called to two-vehicle crash in North Yorkshire

A man had to be cut free after a two-vehicle crash on a North Yorkshire road.

Emergency services were called to the B6265 in Boroughbridge at 11.47am.

One driver managed to get out without help and was advised to go to hospital for a precautionary check-up.

Firefighters from Ripon and Knaresborough helped the driver trapped in the second vehicle.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews used stabilisation equipment to stabilise the other vehicle with the driver inside.

“Crews also used hydraulic cutting equipment to create easier access to the vehicle to assist road and air ambulance staff with the extrication of the driver.”
