Police are looking to trace a couple who may have witnessed an assault on an elderly person.
It happened on St John’s Road, close to the junction of Falsgrave Road at approximately 1pm on Thursday 7 May, and involved a man assaulting an elderly woman.
The 82-year-old victim suffered a bleed on the brain as a result of the attack and has since received hospital treatment.
As part of our ongoing enquiries, officers would particularly like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the assault or anyone who may have any CCTV or dashcam footage that may have captured something.
They are especially keen to speak to a couple who they understand were in the area at the time the incident occurred.
