So to recap – York should be the temporary home of Parliament while it undergoes a huge refurb, according to Boris Johnson.

But it probably won’t, says Jacob Rees-Mogg.

Either way, the thought that a city once home to that famous parliamentary reformer Guy Fawkes could soon be home to the Prime Minister, Cabinet, MPs and the rest has got a few people thinking…

Yes it was hard enough to find a venue in York to host an event for only 40 guests. That was at the racecourse which come to think of it, could be a contender for Parliament. Lots of seating, shouting, booze and dodgy money changing hands. Sounds perfect.
