A York bridge has reopened after a police incident this afternoon (Wednesday).
Clifton Bridge on Water End was briefly shut while emergency services went to the scene.
York Travel reported at 3.18pm: “Clifton Bridge (Water End) CLOSED due to a police incident, please avoid the area if possible.”
Then, at 3.44pm, they issued this update: “REOPENED both directions. Expect delays in the area while queues begin to clear.”
It is the second time in two days that the bridge has been closed in this way.
