The fire service boat was launched early this morning after reports of people in the river.
Fire crews from York and Acomb responded to a request by police to help at the River Ouse near Scarborough Bridge at 2.06am.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “On arrival it was established that youths had been in the river but were now out.
“No action required by the fire service.”
