A motorbike was stolen and then set on fire early this morning (Tuesday).
Officers on patrol found the bike on Kingsway North. A fire crew from Acomb was called in at 3.22am, and put out the blaze.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said the bike was “100% fire damaged”, adding: “The cause is believed to be deliberate.”
The motorbike is believed to have been stolen from nearby Cromer Street.
