Police investigating the theft of expensive musical instruments from a shop in York are appealing for the public’s help.
The flutes were stolen from Banks and Son Music, on Lendal, at around 2.50pm on Saturday 9 November 2013.
The Pearl Pea795E and Yamaha YFL411UK are jointly valued at around £3,700.
The suspect is described as a white man, around 5ft 8in to 6ft and aged in his late 30s. At the time he was wearing dark clothing and a baseball cap.
PC Lauren Harper, of York Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you were in the shop at the time of the theft and witnessed someone acting suspiciously or have any information which could help to identify the man responsible for this theft, I urge you to contact the police straight away.
“I am also keen to speak to anyone who has been offered the flutes and ask them to get in touch.”
