A video for York band Mulholland is vying to be named the planet’s Video Of The Day.
The film, to promote the five-piece Americana band’s track Come On Back, from the album Ghosts & Shadows, was shot over two days in York in locations including underground bar Sotano, York Cemetery and alleyways around the city.
Filmed in moody black and white by The Trash Factory, it is a surreal portrayal of memories, music and drunken revelry. It was directed by James Arden, with Ronnie McQuillan as director of photography.
Now it is pitted against short films, commercials and animations from around the world to become Video Of The Day on the VOTD website.
This honour is awarded by a combination of votes from a panel of video industry judges (75%) and public votes (25%).
