UPDATE: Ross Donaldson, who went missing from York on December 23, has been found.

After a police appeal, Ross Donaldson was found safe in York on Boxing Day. North Yorkshire Police thanked everyone for their assistance with the appeal to find him.

York man missing since before Christmas – police launch appeal

Police are trying to find a man missing from his home in York.

Officers are urging the members of the public to help them locate Ross Donaldson, aged 26, by sharing information.

Mr Donaldson was last seen by his housemate in his home off Gillygate at around 8.30pm on Saturday (December 23).

Police are concerned for his welfare and want to trace him so they can ensure he is all right.

The man, originally from Fife in Scotland, may be carrying a guitar.

He is slim with blond hair and blue eyes and may currently have more facial hair than he has in this photo.
