An intrepid cat who climbed to the top of a tree in York realised too late that he couldn’t get back down.
Arthur, a ginger cat, managed to get stuck 40ft up a tree on Rawcliffe Lane.
After being there for about 36 hours, he was spotted and the fire brigade called in.
Firefighters from Acomb came out at 1.09pm today (Sunday).
Using ladders and fall arrest equipment, they managed to rescue Arthur and bring him safely down to earth.
