York City today revealed that a player has tested positive for Covid-19.
The player and his teammates are now self-isolating.
Two fixtures have been postponed as a result of the case.
The team’s fixture at Hereford this Saturday (24 October) and the home game against Kettering on 31 October will now be rearranged for a future date.
In a statement the club said: “The club put its Covid contingency plans into action quickly and sought guidance from the National League medical team.
“Backroom staff and players across the first team and youth team, along with some office staff, will self-isolate until 1st November and the club will seek to reschedule all games that fall within that period of time.”
The club shop was also closed today.
