Police are hunting a cycling robber who snatched a purse from a 72-year-old woman in York.
The victim was walking to the shops along Garth Terrace, Clifton, shortly before 11am on Tuesday (October 18) when the man on the bike snatched the purse from her grasp.
She was not injured during the incident, but was very shaken and distressed by what police described as a ‘heartbreaking robbery’.

Police have issued this description of the robber.

Officers have been carrying out extensive enquiries in the area including house-to-house enquiries and examination of CCTV.
Enquiries remain ongoing.
