Hold on to your knickers folks – Sir Tom Jones is only returning to town!
The Sexbomb singer will return to York Racecourse for an open air concert on Music Showcase Friday evening, July 27.
After more than 50 years of at the summit of showbiz, he remains one of great live performers. Loved for hits such as Delilah, Kiss & What’s New Pussycat, he has never lost his rhythm and blues soul.
And his stint as a a mentor of future talent on TV show The Voice brought him to a brand new audience.
Sir Tom returns to the Knavesmire three years after selling out the venue in summer 2015.
And it means the dates of three racing and music days is now complete, with Paloma Faith already confirmed for Saturday 30 June and Boyzone recently unveiled for Saturday, July 28.

Sir Tom is looking forward to his return. “The York races crowd were tremendous on my last visit, I’ve always loved outdoor shows and it’s always lovely to be asked back,” he said.
“We’re going to have some fun.”
On the racecourse itself, The British European Breeders Fund Lyric Stakes will be the centrexpiece of a six race evening card that will precede the concert.
York Racecourse head of marketing James Brennan said: “Everyone at the course has really special memories of the last gig Sir Tom did for us – it gives us something to look forward to.”
