Condragulations to whoever came up with this idea.
If it wasn’t fabulous enough that the eagerly-anticipated RuPaul’s Drag Race UK is finally on air, now you can go and enjoy it on the big screen in York.
York Pride is hosting weekly screenings of the BBC Three version of the hit show at Spark:York on Piccadilly.
The show is shown on the big screen in Spark’s courtyard under the canvas roof every Thursday at 8pm.
Blankets and heat lamps will keep viewers warm as the watch the Ru crew hit the runway. There’s food and drink from the Spark vendors.
Vodka and sass
And you can even try a new drink created by Bar No. Nine – Sissy That Walk. It involves “house gin or vodka, mixed with lemonade and sass…”
Anyone attending in full drag gets a free drink too.
The first episode drew a healthy crowd to meet the UK contestants vying for the title – Baga Chipz, Blu Hydrangea, Crystal, Cheryl Hole, Divina De Campo, Gothy Kendoll, Sum Ting Wong, Scaredy Kat, The Vivienne and Vinegar Strokes.
Guest judges this series include Graham Norton and Alan Carr.
