With traffic roaring by just yards away, it couldn’t be a more urban scene.

And yet an eagle-eyed York resident still managed to film nature footage that Sir David Attenborough would be proud of.

Carl Nickson, boss of city security firm Eboracum, captured a group of baby mink frolicking next to the River Ouse.

Baby Mink underneath Yates, York

They were seen playing just below Yates, next to Ouse Bridge in the middle of town.

Mink make their homes by digging dens or by living in hollow logs. It may be that the rising river levels in the last 24 hours have forced the animals out of their homes.

The video has been viewed thousands of times.
