About two thousand scouts, guides, cubs and brownies took part in the York St George’s Day Parade.

That makes it one of the biggest of its kind, and significantly larger than the National Scout Parade held each year in Windsor Castle.

Including a number of marching bands, the parade followed a service at York Minster.
