The fantastic news was revealed by Ben and Laura on the YorkMix Radio Breakfast Show on Friday.
It means we will bring you the first news on the shows coming to the Grand Opera House, exclusive interviews with the stars and big competitions, both on YorkMix Radio and online.
Grand Opera House theatre manager Clare O’Connor said it was fabulous to be back entertaining people again.
“We opened on Monday 13 September with The Woman In Black, so it’s absolutely fantastic to have audiences back in the building again and enjoying the live shows,” she told Ben and Laura.
They have been busy improving the venue while it’s been empty.
“We’ve done so much work on the building. We’ve got a new canopy outside, we’ve painted and got some new furniture in some of the bar areas.
“There’s lots happening on the stage and auditorium areas, and there’s still more to come.”
And the Grand Opera House’s big Christmas show this year is Berwick and the gang in Dick Turpin Rides Again.
Clare said: “We’re so excited to have this new panto in the building. Working in cooperation with Crossroads pantomimes, and with Berwick Kaler, Martin Barrass and the rest of the cast is such a wonderful opportunity for the Grand Opera House.”
