Thieves have struck at a city centre shop.
They broke into The Whisky Shop in the Coppergate Centre through a window panel.
At least seven bottles of alcohol have been taken including whisky, gin, bourbon and rum.
A North Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said there were no arrests at this stage, adding:

It appears a glass panel had been removed by the suspects to enable them to gain entry.
The break-in was reported by Coppergate security staff at 6.34am
Enquiries are continuing including examination of CCTV in the area.
The police responded quickly to the call sending two vans and seven officers who were interviewing witnesses.
A police guard was left in place at the store this morning.
The Whisky Shop sells a large range of whiskies and other spirits. Some of the bottles carry price tags into the thousands of pounds.
