Police have uncovered a suspected cannabis cultivation operation near Leeman Road in York, following a tip-off.
Officers went to a property on Martins Court at 6.30pm on Sunday (3 May), following a report of a suspected cannabis grow there.
Two people, a 30-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the production and supply of cannabis.
They have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
Officers remained at the scene until about 2am to secure the premises and make it safe.
Drugs warrant
In a separate operation, police executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act just before 1pm today (Tuesday) at a property in Willow Glade, Huntington.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “A cannabis grow was located in a garage, which officers made safe and dismantled.
“A 30-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of cannabis production. She remains in custody at this time.”
