A driver broke his leg in a two-vehicle crash on the York ring road.
At 7.43pm last night (Monday, 4 November) emergency services were called out to the accident on the A1237 near Nether Poppleton.
It involved a Ford Transit van and a Jaguar car.
The driver of the van was taken to York Hospital with a broken leg. His passenger and the driver of the Jaguar, went to hospital for a precautionary check-up.
A fire crew from Acomb isolated the electrics on the car and stemmed fuel and fluid leaks.
Police said the crash caused significant delays. The accident was cleared by 9.30pm.
