A man has been arrested in connection with a York sexual assault.
It followed the release of a new CCTV image of a man detectives wanted to question over an incident on Friday, July 21.
A woman was walking along Station Road near the gardens of the Principal Hotel when she was grabbed by a man who sexually assaulted her over her clothing.
A man, in his 30s, was detained by police investigating the assault on Saturday (November 5). He was released under investigation in the early hours of Sunday morning while enquiries continue.
Earlier police revealed they had located the man in a CCTV image. North Yorkshire Police thanked the public and media for their support with the appeal.
The CCTV image has been removed from this post as requested by police.

New CCTV image issued in search for York sex attacker
Police have issued a new CCTV image of a man they want to question over a sexual assault in York.
The attack happened at around 5.20am on Friday, July 21. A woman was walking along Station Road near the gardens of the Principal Hotel when she was grabbed by a man who sexually assaulted her over her clothing.
The man ran off towards the Leeman Road and Station Rise junction. He then got on a bike and cycled away, out of the city.
The woman alerted staff at the train station.
Despite extensive investigations over the past few months and a media appeal on the day of the incident, detectives have been unable to identify the perpetrator.
Officers would like to speak to the man pictured by CCTV in connection with the investigation.
