Two pedestrians had to be taken to hospital after an accident involving a van in York.
They were in collision with a blue Ford Transit van on Monkgate on Monday (September 20) at about 7.15pm.
The pedestrians, a man and a woman both aged 52, were taken to York Hospital after the accident.
Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The driver of the van, a 27 year old man form York, was arrested on suspicion of drug driving. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or who saw the blue Transit van, which was travelling into the city centre from Heworth, to get in touch: details below.
