Two men broke into a York shop and stole a large amount of jewellery.
The men entered Cavendish Jewellers on Stonegate at 7.47pm on Saturday (January 6) after the store had closed.
They stole a large amount of jewellery from the display cabinets before leaving the shop at 8.20pm.
They entered and left from the direction of Duncombe Place, which is at the rear of the building.
Do you know the men?
One of the men is described as
- of average build and height
- wearing a dark Puffa-style jacket with a hood and a beanie hat
- possibly wearing glasses.
The other man is described as
- of medium build
- and wearing a dark Puffa-style body warmer
- dark Nike trainers
- and a beanie hat.
They were carrying a backpack and possibly two dark-coloured holdall bags.
Police are currently making extensive enquiries as part of their investigation, which includes reviewing CCTV footage.
