This Saturday, February 1, marks National Dignity in Care Day, offering a chance to find out about initiatives to improve the treatment of the elderly and vulnerable in care.
The York Older People’s Assembly (YOPA) is backing the national campaign and a ten-point plan drawn up by the National Dignity in Care Council, which aims to ensure the elderly in care are treated with respect.
In York, YOPA will be staffing an information point on Saturday, February 1, at St Clements Hall, in Nunthorpe Road, opposite Scarcroft Primary School, between 10am and 4pm.
Members will be on hand to share ideas and information as to how the elderly in the city can be treated with respect and dignity.
