Tourism operators will hear from leaders of the local, regional and national tourism bodies at a lunch to be held at Bedern Hall, York on Friday, May 3.
The event, which has been organised by the Yorkshire branch of the Tourism Society will incude presentations by Louise Stewart, director of strategy and development, VisitEngland; Dee Marshall, head of communications, Welcome To Yorkshire; and Gillian Cruddas, chief executive, VisitYork.
“Tourism is one of the most important drivers in the economy and this spring update will provide operators, destination management organisations, consultants and other interested business people with the latest plans, trends and activities in the industry in 2013/14 on a national, regional and local level,” said John Gallery, Yorkshire chairman of the Tourism Society.
“There have been many organisational changes since the demise of regional development bodies and our three excellent speakers will each provide a persepective for guests to consider, challenge and contribute.”
