Three men have been arrested by police investigating an alleged jet wash scam in York.
We reported on Saturday police warnings of a gang driving a silver Toyota van and a blue van, calling on homes in the city “and offering to jet wash driveways for extortionate amounts of money”.
They were even said to have demanded £500.
Today (Sunday) NYP York South revealed on Twitter that after a proactive search, they had found the suspect vehicles.
They said: “The officers have arrested three males for suspicion of fraud by false representation and seized their vehicles.
“We will not tolerate people travelling to York and North Yorkshire to commit crime.”
