The performing arts academy is looking for a young man aged between 16-19 to play the role of Daddy Warbucks in their production of Annie Jr.
This show is at the heart of the PQA summer school this month.
They have the other roles covered, but are missing someone to take the part of “self-assured and confident middle-aged billionaire” Daddy Warbucks, in the popular musical.
Applicants should be 16-19 years old, living in the York area, and available for an intensive week of rehearsals from Monday, August 21 to Friday, August 25.
They will also be needed for performances on Saturday (August 26) at Joseph Rowntree Theatre.

PQA York’s principal James Aconley said the summer school offered “children and teenagers the opportunity to be part of a professional theatre experience taught by a professional creative team”
“And whoever is lucky enough to land the role of Daddy Warbucks is sure to benefit from the expertise being offered.”
