They are the Cheeky Girls, and as they sang so memorably: “Come and join the the cheeky club”.
That is your invitation as the Cheeky Girls head to York later this month for a musical showdown.
The pop duo, aka Monica and Gaby Irimia, are the VIP guests at the first birthday of raucous party night Lip Sync Lollapalooza.
Organised by Haus of Dench, the miming battles have become a cult night in York’s calendar.
Live show
Known for leaving Simon Cowell speechless on The X Factor, the Cheeky Girls will be performing a number of their songs including The Cheeky Song and Cheeky Holiday as part of a huge afterparty to celebrate the night’s first anniversary since moving into the city centre.
There will also be the opportunity after the performance for guests to meet the Cheeky Girls for a photo opportunity.
Organiser Matthew Stallworthy said: “You don’t have to have been to the night before to feel welcome, and Lip Sync Lollapalooza’s inclusive and friendly atmosphere is what has students and locals alike coming back again and again.
“Fans eagerly snap up tickets, dress up in unique costumes to fit the themes of each night and vye for spaces at the front of the stage.
“It’s a night which celebrates diversity and living life to the fullest, and is loved so much by its fans it was nominated in the Minster FM Listener Choice Awards for Best Night Out”.
The night will also be raising money for York Pride on the night with collections at the bar and Cheeky Girls merchandise sales.
