Festivals and fairs galore this weekend with music, food and drink and vintage fun all up for grabs. A ‘pup’ up cafe and a comedy legend also make for an interesting couple of days.

The York Food and Drink Festival takes brings fantastic sights, smells and tastes to the city. There’s ten days of yummy street food, delicious drinks and demonstrations by some of the best chefs in the region. For the full list of the weekend’s offerings, hit the button.

Head on down to the Knavesmire this weekend for the Beer and Cider Festival. Featuring a huge marquee with more than 500 beers, ciders and perries to choose from, there’s something for everyone. It’s not just beer – wine, mead, prosecco and gin are available too. With a big beer garden, food stalls and live music too.

Do you love dachshunds? Then this is the event for you! Lots of the sausage dogs and their owners are expected. And the ‘pup’ up cafe also features a competition for best dressed pups, free puppuccinos and stands to buy goodies.

Monks Cross Shopping Park is hosting an Emergency Sevices day, perfect for childen and families. With appearances from North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue, York Rescue Boat, Yorkshire Air Ambulance – and a special visit from Chase from Paw Patrol!
