Police have found suspected Class A drugs in York.
A “significant amount” of the substance was discovered near the water treatment site in the Osbaldwick area on Thursday (June 2).
It was recovered by officers and is undergoing tests to confirm the type of controlled drugs involved.
Enquiries are on-going to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said:
This is an area that is popular with dog walkers, cyclists and runners.
It is hoped local people may have information regarding any suspicious activity that could assist the police.
