A city centre shop was flooded last night (Tuesday).
Firefighters from York were called out to the shop on Parliament Street at 7.05pm.
There they found heavy flooding on the ground floor.
The North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said: “York attended heavy flooding on the ground floor of a retail unit.
“Crews gained access to the building and isolated a leaking toilet on the first floor using small tools.
“The premises was then re-secured and left in the hands of police.”
