Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was sexually assaulted on a York street.
The attack happened on The Mount between 1.30am and 2am on Sunday, May 24.
A woman was walking back to her hotel when she was approached by a man wearing a grey jacket and jeans.
An attempt was made to manoeuvre the female away from the road while the man pulled at her dress.
There was a second man present in dark clothing who was not involved in the assault.
York police are conducting inquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
In particular, detectives are appealing for information about the identity of the men involved and witnesses who can provide an account of what happened.
