One of the RAF’s best-loved aircraft is about to bow out – with a three day farewell flight.
And the Tornados will pass over York today (19 February).
The warplanes are ending 40 years of service and are flying over many UK airfields – including RAF Leeming, Topcliffe and Linton-On-Ouse.
Here are the planned timings (they are approximate):
- 2.55pm – RAF Leeming
- 2.56pm – RAF Topcliffe
- 2.57pm – RAF Linton-on-Ouse
They then head south over York.
The route goes over Nether Poppleton, Clifton, Holgate, South Bank and out of the city close to York Designer Outlet.
