How can I tune in?

The easiest way to tune in is on your DAB+ compatible radio.  If you don’t yet have a digital radio and you’re looking to buy one ensure it is DAB+ compatible.  Our signal covers all of North Yorkshire but rather than tune in with a frequency number on a digital radio you simply select the station name from a list.  From 12th November 2020 look for XmasMix and from January 4th, YorkMix.

You may need to perform a rescan on your radio to find new stations, for further help consult your radio’s manual.

You can also tune in online by clicking the button below. A pop-up player will open, allowing you to listen whilst your browser is open.

What can I expect from YorkMix Radio?

YorkMix Radio will bring you a mix of music and news for North Yorkshire.  As you’d expect from a radio station bearing the YorkMix name we’ll be keeping you up to date on everything that’s happening in North Yorkshire with regular news, travel and weather bulletins.

Our presenters are all well known voices in North Yorkshire who have worked on other local stations in the past.  They include Ben and Laura at Breakfast, Victoria Charles throughout the daytime, Tim Lichfield in the afternoons and Elisa Hilton and Paul Spence at the weekends. We won’t repeat the same songs over, and over and over again!  The bulk of our music will be from the 1980s to today but you will find the odd older song thrown in here in there, plus we’ve got dedicated features to help launch local talent.
