Following an extensive police search in York, officers have arrested wanted man Ryan MacLeod.
He was arrested at 12.25pm on Tuesday 19 February 2013, at an address in the Clifton area of the city.
MacLeod, 21, was wanted for questioning in connection with an assault in York in November 2012 and for recall to prison.
Detective Inspector David Kirby, of York CID, said: “MacLeod’s arrest is a result of the good police work which officers have carried out to locate him.
“I would like to thank the members of the public across York, who supplied us with information about his whereabouts. Their assistance was of great help throughout the hunt for MacLeod.
“I am also thanking the media for their help to keep the search MacLeod in the public eye.”
A 21-year-old woman was arrested on Monday 18 February 2013, for assisting an offender unlawfully at large and obstructing the police. She has now been released on bail.
