A man was rescued from the river in a joint operation in York last night (Monday).
Emergency services were called out to reports of two men in the River Ouse at about 8.19pm.
One man was out on arrival, and police rescued another.
Two fire crews from Huntington and the York Rescue Boat were also called out.
The North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said: “Crews administered first aid until arrival of paramedics. “
NPT York North tweeted: “One safely retrieved from the water and two arrested.
“Drink was clearly a factor but everyone involved, including the attending officers, safe and well. Great teamwork from all.”
