York police are appealing for information following the theft of a mobile phone from a vehicle in the city.

The blue Samsung Galaxy contains sentimental photographs of the owner’s children.

PC Lee Smith, of York Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “The theft of the phone and the photographs it holds has naturally upset its owner.
