Police closed a York road in the hunt for burglars on Tuesday night (February 13).

Officers were called to reports of a break-in at a property on Moor Lane, Woodthorpe, at around 10.20pm.

As part of the search for the offenders, police closed the junction between the A1237 Woodthorpe roundabout and the B1224 Wetherby Road roundabout.

The road was reopened by 11.52pm. No arrests have yet been made.

Any witnesses or anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incident are asked to contact police.
