Police investigating a fire which damaged 22 vehicles near York are appealing for the public’s help.
Fire crews from Huntington were called out to the fire, on Malton Road, Stockton on the Forest, at 8.46pm on Saturday (25 May).
They found the vehicles alight, along with a nearby industrial unit. For a time a section of the nearby A64 was closed as firefighters tackled the blaze.
Now police are asking the for the public’s help with their investigation into the cause.
Officers are working with investigators from North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service to determine how it happened and whether or not it was suspicious.
They want to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area during the hours leading up to the fire at 9pm.
