Trees in York have been damaged in what North Yorkshire Police are describing as an act of “mindless vandalism”.

The trees are in a small woodland area off Moor Lane, Naburn. They have been daubed with graffiti.

“Officers are keen to hear from anyone who can identify those responsible for this mindless vandalism,” a police spokesman said.
