Two screen stars teamed up in York on Tuesday to film a new ITV series.
Anthony Head, best known as the Watcher Rupert Giles in TV hit Buffy The Vampire Slayer, was working with Miranda Richardson, who played Queen Elizabeth I in Blackadder in the city.
They are two of the leads in Girlfriends, a brand-new six-part ITV drama being made by independent production company Rollem.
Girlfriends is written by Leeds screenwriter Kay Mellor, who also penned Fat Friends, Band Of Gold and Playing The Field.
Miranda Richardson plays Sue, one of three childhood friends who get together again. The other two are played by Zoë Wanamaker and Phyllis Logan.
Anthony and Miranda were filming scenes in the Cosy Club restaurant on Fossgate.
These terrific photos were taken by York photographer Jayne The Unicorn. You can see more of Jayne’s fab pix on her Instagram page.
