Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver after a man was badly injured on a York road.
The incident happened at midday today (Tuesday, March 21) on Blossom Street, when the driver of a black Nissan failed to stop after colliding with a male pedestrian.
The man suffered serious, but not believed to be life threatening, injuries. He was taken to hospital by road ambulance.
Blossom Street and Nunnery Lane remain closed while an investigation at the scene takes place.
Police are appealing for information to help find the black Nissan and driver.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, or has seen a black Nissan in the area which looks damaged, is asked to contact police.
