Astonishing video footage has emerged of a burglar calmly walking through a house in York searching for valuables.
The intruder, dressed in trainers, camouflage trousers, a black zip up top, hat and gloves, walks from room to room in the apparent raid.

Lighting the way with a small torch, he is seen rifling through drawers and cupboards.
At one stage he opens and inspects a laptop before tucking it under his arm and continuing his search.
Watched it live
The footage was captured by security cameras in a house in Upper Poppleton.
The thief had broken into the home of an 82-year-old man and stole sentimental jewellery belonging to his wife, who died in August.
Remarkably his son, David, saw the whole thing happen live via an internet feed of the cameras.
Police were alerted but the intruder got away.
His father wasn’t in the house at the time but David thought he was and had called him for a chat.
On getting no answer he looked at the camera feed, which was installed as a safety measure, and he saw what was going on.
David told Minster FM of his shock. “From when they started going out they were together 65 years, and when mum died it had a terrible impact on my father,” he said.
“You don’t know the person and you don’t know what’s going on in their lives but it’s despicable really.”
Police are investigating. No arrests have been made yet.
If you recognise the man in the footage, or have any other information, call North Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote case number 12170182759.
