A man has been left with serious injuries after being attacked in York.
The man, in his sixties, was assaulted on Station Road near the Principal Hotel on Saturday night (September 23).
Police were called at around 9.40pm to the incident. They found the victim with serious head injuries. He was taken to hospital where he remains.
A 26-year-old man and a woman in her sixties sustained minor injuries.
Officers arrested a 33-year-old man from North Tyneside in connection with the assault.
On Sunday night at about 7.30pm, police revealed they had charged the man with wounding the victim in his sixties, and assaulting the 26-year-old man.
Anyone who was in the area between 9.15pm and 9.45pm and witnessed the incident is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police.
