Full details on the A64 crash
We have the full details of the earlier crash on the A64. It was collision between a Honda Jazz and a VW Golf near Sand Hutton.
Two fire crews, from Huntington and York, went to the scene. They released the 23-year-old male driver of the Jazz from his upturned vehicle by removing a door with hydraulic cutting equipment.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance with non life-threatening injuries. The woman driver of the Golf, 45, suffered bruising and was treated at the scene.

Police, fire and ambulance crews are at a serious two-vehicle collision on the A64 near Sand Hutton.
One car has overturned with a man trapped inside.
Traffic build up is described as ‘substantial’ and motorists are asked to avoid the area while the emergency services work at the scene.
