Thieves walk off with two leather jackets worth £2,000 from York shop

Two men distracted a shop assistant and walked off with leather jackets worth more than £2,000.
The men entered the Robert Smart Menswear store on Low Petergate, York, at 2pm on Saturday (July 1).
A police spokeswoman said:
It is believed that they distracted the shop assistant before leaving the store with the leather jackets, worth £2098, without making any attempt to pay for them.
Police would like to talk to the two men captured on CCTV in the store about the theft, as they may have important information that could assist the investigation.
