It’s back! That big yellow thing in the sky, you’ll know it when you see it.
After relentless cold, gloom and rain, forecasters are insisting York will enjoy sunny intervals on Saturday (April 14).
Imagine it. Sunny. Intervals.
And temperatures could peak at 16C in the afternoon.
Admittedly, there are showers in the forecast for Sunday.
But next week… It will start to get warmer on Tuesday as an influx of warm, continental air tootles northwards up the UK.
Over to Met Office meteorologist Sarah Kent.
“Temperatures on Wednesday will again be highest in the south-east. London could see between 20C and 23C.
“And in fact, going further north, places like York could see 18C to 20C.”
Could the spell be broken? Could perpetual winter be at an end? We can only hope…
