This is York man Brett Vincent Lill. Jailed for life for violence in 2006, he is now on the run from police.

Lill, 46, of Flaxman Avenue, was released from prison on licence in June 2017 after being jailed in 2006.

He bit off part of the ear of a doorman in York in January 2005. When he appeared in court for that offence he leaped from the dock and escaped.

He was finally arrested in the summer of 2006 and given the life sentence for causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

But the judge set a tariff which allowed him to be considered for parole after a few years.

Remains at large

Released on licence, he has since breached the terms and the Prison and Probation Service recalled him to prison in December 2017.

York police have carried out extensive enquiries to locate Brett but he remains at large.

It is known that as well as York, he also has connections to the Malton area.

Police have also issued a warning to anyone who is helping him to evade arrest, that they may also face prosecution.

Anyone who has seen Brett or knows of his current whereabouts is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police.
