Police have widened their warning to parents over potentially dangerous beds.

We reported last year that a seven-month-old baby died in November at a property in Melrosegate, York, leading to the police being called in.

Together with South Yorkshire Trading Standards officers investigated a company called Playtime Beds UK Ltd, which was served a notice to cease and desist trading last November.

They have since discovered that a former employee of Playtime Beds Ltd founded their own company – Magical Dream Beds Ltd in Rotherham.

It has supplied a bed designed by Playtime Beds after that company was forced to close.

This discovery has prompted a further safety warning to unsuspecting customers of Magical Dream Beds Ltd.
