The fire brigade was called to help after a vehicle got stuck under a bridge in York.

The Roller Team motorhome was on Terry Avenue heading in the direction of the Rowntree Park caravan site when it got wedged under Skeldergate Bridge.

A fire crew from York was alerted at about 3pm today (Wednesday 24 April) and helped to free the vehicle.

They said no damaged was caused to the bridge, which carries a warning sign denoting an 8ft 6in height limit.
